Bio:
Stories: Death on a Stick actually had an original lineup including Chris Hagen and Rick LeFauve, both of whom worked at WRUW-FM. In August 1984, this lineup played at the Spot on the campus of Case Western Reserve University under the auspices of WRUW promoter and man-about-town Larry Collins. It was the first day back in the dorms for CWRU students and after the show, the band decided to continue the party up in my Case dorm suite on the 5th floor of Michelson House. These dorms were normally the residence of many geeky engineering students so it was quite a trip to have a full-up live art-punk band, complete with amplifiers, playing a free concert in my living room. Windows were opened all over the campus, either to dig the music or to yell at us to turn it down (which simply inspired the group to play louder). A good time was had by all and much beer was consumed. Unfortunately, at the end of the evening one of my female roommates, who had had a few beers, accused me of hitting on the band and Larry Collins, ever the gentleman, stood up for my honor by dumping beer on her bazongas. She got mad and retreated to her bedroom, whereupon Larry piled all the dorm furniture in front of her door so she couldn't get out. In the morning I was sternly admonished by said roommate (who also happened to be one of the resident directors of the dorm) that I was NEVER under any circumstances to bring Larry Collins around EVER again. Some girls just have no sense of humor :) C.L. Blue
