The Squirts formed in late 2000 with the intent of covering a Dead Milkmen song for a tribute album. Nobody ever thought it would end up being a somewhat serious band. Anyway, after recording our version of "VFW" (which was later accepted for the tribute album), we ended up writing some originals such as "I Wanna Be Your Joey Stalin", "When I Kill You All", "I Wanna Fuck an Apple", and "You're In A Johnny Cash Song, Now What?" We then started booking shows, and are currently at the rate of about one or two per month. The rest will be history.
