Sitting in my crappy apartment drinking too many weidemans and reading scene magazine I came across an add looking for a singer... The tag line cracked me up: "champion cover band attitude a must!"... So i had to call. Ended up in cleveland at Dieters with his friend John who were starting a "dark" band... Well, hate is a dark emotion, I think, so I'm in... Dieter and I begin pasting songs together in his pad with his guitar and my lyrics, sticking to the "under 3 minute" rule... Otherwise we figured it would just bore the shit out of people... We went through a million bass/drummer combos, and John eventually gave up (after a sad thing called "avalon" with John & his girlfriend, cal from Uzizi, and me on drinking and droning)... Rep Tyler/Pete (of the Reptiles) jumped in along with Jenny Tobias (Ghost Sonata) for our infamous GGE Records tape and a debut at J.B.'s on Helloween 96... Another member shift leads to David James (D.O.S..) joining on bass and Steve Mckee (F-models, Scream Theatre, They Say Then) beating them pagan skins... this line-up stayed thru till the end (aaaahhhh...the bitter end!)...

After we recorded the EP that never happened (12 inches of Slave Cave)... Dieter decided he didn't want to play at our up-comming gig (the first show in nine o' clubs new "Picasso's Grave")... since it was already advertised, Dave found stunt-guitarist Stephanie to fill in the shows we already had booked... and Sleaze Cave limped into the past...r.i.p.
