The
Skipped came together in 2001 after founder of the Grog
Shop in Cleveland Heights and guitarist Matt Mugridge
moved back from Las Vegas in 2001. Joining Paul Strachan
on drums and Billy Spear on bass, The Skipped rips out
rock influenced by The Descendants, Social Distortion,
The Ramones and The Buzzcocks. Paul Strachan started
his music career as drummer for the seminal Cleveland
band Terrible Parade, then went on to WMMS favorites
The Sellouts with members of The God Squad and Mugridge.
He then formed Ballbag with Mugridge and Joe Prcela
of The Sellouts in the summer of 1996, and opened for
acts Blink 182, Nada Surf and Samiam. Strachan then
went on to glam rockers The Tellers and metal band Hydra
before reuniting with Mugridge for the new Skipped Cd,
All Revved Up. Bill Spear has played lead guitar and
bass for the heavy rock outfit Sun Machine, as well
as metal band Razor in the 80's.
