Phestur first came to existance in April of 1999. Only then there was no name, and only 2 guitars and the worlds worst drummer. Though he tried, he should've kept his day job. Adam was/is the original founding member, and was looking for the right personalities to fit what was to become PHESTUR. After letting the first drummer go, Adam found others via a certain cleve. fan zine. Several tried out, and all left until as luck would have it, one was found on an internet chat page. Enter the drums...Scott Munson...130 lbs. and a total spazz...he fit awsomely! Then came the bass, only he was a pathologist by trade. This posed some problems, afterall, what provided more loot? A band with no name...or pathology? Anyhow, he hung for the first few shows of PHESTUR, but then had to move out of state. So the search was on again. Several temps and stand ins were used for a few shows, 'til while playing at the Grog Shop, they came across the keeper..Jake Doerger. Following 2 Canada shows, severe riff were forming, creating a real threat of a band break up. These riffs were caused by the lead guitar player, and his father [who also was the self proclaimed manager].

Following several real unproffessional actions, and pissin' and moaning by his son, the band decided to cut them loose. This opened a whole other can of worms which will end up in the story lines i'm sure.

So now PHESTUR was a 3 piece, and with no more stress mess, prima donna, "i'm a manager of a band i think" crap! PHESTUR moved on and to bigger heights!

Recording 2 EP's and finally the full length cd [Fujita's Pad]and getting chosen for Undercurrents 2000 [though the band has no idea how that happened, afterall..they're punk/grunge!] Now a year later with this lineup, there has been nothing but fun and rock and roll!

So where are they now???...they're still here and pumpin' it out! Love them or hate them [which is usually the consensus], they are a Cleveland mainstay!

And one of the pieces in Cleveland's music puzzle of the original punk scene.
