Formed
in Collinwood in 1992 as strictly a studio band. The
Flukes music is completely eclectic. At one time or
another touching on Jazz, Punk, Funk, Blues, Avant Garde,
or just plain Noise. More often then not a mixture of
all the above. The Liver Flukes core of musicians is
Scott Stemple, Patrick Doran, Dan Crognale, and Lenny
Hoffman. Although numerous other guest musicians play
on various tracks, such as Jim Wilson (New Salem Witch
Hunters). The bulk of the songs were written and performed
by the Flukes? core. Between 1992 and 2000 the Flukes
laid down over five and a half hours of music. None
of which was ever officially released. Although they
were all assembled in album form (three on cassette,
two on compact disc) and circulated throughout Cle,
they never achieved mass consumption. A few tracks did
see some air play on WRUW 91.1 in the mid 90's. The
five Liver Flukes tapes/disc's: Deviated Slightly From
The Truth, Babushka Land, Smell My Baby?s Head, Take
This And Eat It, and Bar Stool Palpitations have become
very rare collectables. The Liver Flukes continues to
be an ongoing project with hopefully some official released
in the near future. For more info on Liver Flukes CD's
