miles to Boston and back but well worth the trip. Thanks to
cheetah and Anna and I hope we can get together again soon
and talk some more. Anyway after the opening act, the toilet
boys, I was hearing the some in the crowd saying that they
couldn't believe that someone had to play after that show.
True they did have a pretty flamboyant show with some pyro
in excess for the club and a bit of nudity. Obviously the
didn't know what kind of show the headliner was going to put
on. During the toilet boys everyone was just standing around
bobbing their heads and raising some fists for a very good
band. But that's not what I drove so far to see. After opening
the show with "Final Solution" (raft/Pere Ubu song)
a song most weren't familiar with they played a new song "no
credit" and then "so cold" (rftt). cheetah
then mentions that he was in a band in the past and that the
next song was by them, and then plays "aint nothin to
do" and the crowd got pretty crazy. At some point in
time cheetah got smacked in the face with the mic when someone
got pushed toward the stage. Damn kids and their rock n roll.
I got pretty choked up when cheat told the crowd that his
brother died about 10 years ago and that this song (Ain't
It Fun) was for him. The rest of the show just got better
and better the new CD is as loud as ever and every bit as
snotty. Pick it up and beg him to bring his show to your town.
